Anyone who cooks a lot will tell you that two saucepans are just not enough. That's what I had, before I got this 3-piece set. Now I have FIVE! (Yes. I cook a lot.)This is a good basic set. The pans are well made of quality stainless steel. They feel a little light. There is no thick plate in the bottom. The handles are made with the old fashioned 'Bakelite' material, fairly impervious to heat. But, I would not recommend using them in the oven, for anything over 'keep warm' temps. The vented, tempered glass lids fit perfectly. Never use more than medium heat on your stove top.The lid handles are of the same material as the pan handles. But, a little thin around the edges. So, as you attach the handles to the lids, be careful not to tighten them too much, to prevent cracking. The hardware includes the appropriate washers and a silicone gasket, to help prevent any fracturing of the glass.I have been using these pans for a couple of weeks now. They work very well and clean up very easily. Good purchase.Like that pans fit on stove burners correctly and also there isn't any coating inside to flake off into my foodGreat pots that don't make the food taste like metal if you leave it out for a couple hours. Had that problem with some cheaper pots. Easy to maintain and good quality, an excellent find for someone on a budget, like me. Would recommend.I really want to like these pans. I bought the 4 piece. The problem is that they are just too thin. Like most pots and pans these days they have a thick disk attached to the bottom. That is a little on the thin side but acceptable. The biggest problem is the body of the pan itself is way too thin. I can see these getting bent out of shape in the kitchen cabinets. They look good, I like the shape and size. The handle seems to be attached well, it's Bakelite or plastic I'm not sure which. But if you fill up these pots up the handles will flex lifting them because the sides of the pan are too thin. These wouldn't be a bad pot if they were around 25 to $30 for four of them but at the price they definitely should be thicker. If you don't do a lot of cooking and more importantly you clean up right away these pants would probably be fine. If you're going to use them everyday and let them soak overnight you may want to look elsewhere. Bottom line they could easily be five stars if the company just put a little thicker Steel in the pot itself.BeautifulWhile i have no issue with the pans themselves the glass on the lids is very fragile, and i mean VERY fragile.They come with the knobs not attached, went to put on the first one and it exploded. It didn't creak it didn't crack it shattered sending shards in every direction.But again the pans are excellent. Just be VERY careful with the lids. Or don't use them.The set is a perfect fit for an older couple who like to prepare freshly prepared, healthy and appropriately portioned meals. It is easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher. It was delivered ahead of the expected time, and put to use that day.Don’t put stickers on bottom of pots. Brutal to remove.
