I've purchased several of these gabion kits from VidaXL, each in a different size and configuration. All have been outstanding. Sure, you can buy welded metal panels and construct your own gabion, but if you lack the necessary tools and inclination, these kits are really practical. One suggestion: These kits come with spirals in appropriate lengths to knit the sides together. Personally, I find them unattractive and surprisingly difficult to work with. They slither and swirl like eels! Instead I use "hog nose rings." They're sharp rounded staple-like things. You use a special pliers ($10-$12) to close them around the gabion's wires; they make a snug, unobtrusive connection. You can use the spirals for trellising, etc.I love every thing about it. I put several different color plant in it. It make my back yard rich.This product description is false advertising. A 3.9" x 2" mesh cannot hold gravel.
