Works perfectly. Waters my plants with no leaks. Minus 1 star because it looks quite janky (haphazard). I use this to water my hanging plants. I used it with a plastic seltzer bottle from Aldi, which is very easy to squeeze at any temperature. Item comes with directions, but they are very small. You might do better with the video posted above, but I was able to get it together without a problem. The joints need to be fit together very firmly, so that the conical ends go completely inside the tubes. You can choose how tall you want to make it, but adding the valve piece on the front is absolutely necessary; otherwise, all of the water comes out the front instead of the top. I did use the washer/gasket inside the lid of the bottle, but I did not need any Teflon tape, which was included. I wasn't sure because this item had bad reviews, but I decided to give it a try because their related product, which includes a bottle had decent reviews.The valve that sticks out in the front allows air into the bottle without requiring the long neck to be empty. Since the long neck stays full of water, you don't have to squeeze very much to restart the flow. However, you probably want to empty the long neck when you are all done with watering. You can detach from the bottle and dump it, or disassemble the neck. It seems like it was designed to overcome the complaints people have with other similar products.Putting it together was a challenge.I can’t review a product I’ve had for only 24 hours. For me, the value of many things is determined by how long they continue to work and don’t fall apart. Check back in 6 months, a year, 5 years or even 10 years.DOES NOT FIT standard water bottle or soda bottle!!! Total waste of money! So now I just have a long straw that is useless.
